Catholic Charities of Green Bay Immigration Legal Services
An immigrant is a person who choses to leave their home country voluntarily for various reasons including education, employment, to reunite with family members, flee victimization, or secure asylum. Our Immigration services are comprised of a partially accredited program that helps local immigrants find their best legal options. The focus of the program is family and/or humanitarian-based immigration services.
We serve:
- Immigrants to the U.S. who are seeking to become citizens or reunify with family members living in the United States.
- Individuals trying to secure asylum or temporary protection in the U.S.
- Immigrant victims of domestic violence.
Representatives provide legal assistance to individuals who are eligible to apply for immigration benefits. Below is a list of immigration services we provide:
- Initial consultations
- Family reunification
- Naturalization
- Permanent residency
- Employment authorization
- Replacement/renewal of lawful permanent residency
- Extensions of stay
- FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)
- Helping eligible immigrant women in abusive situations apply for legal permanent status under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), allowing them to leave an abusive relationship and stay in the United States
- Extensive outreach and public education throughout the diocese
