About Us

The Wisconsin Law Help website has two goals: to guide you to the best source of legal help based on your specific circumstances, and to give you accurate and understandable legal information. WisLawHelp launched with three priority legal topics: Housing Law, Consumer Law, and Family Law. We hope to add new legal topics to the site in the future.

WisLawHelp is currently managed by Judicare Legal Aid, a Wisconsin legal aid organization committed to providing free civil legal help to those who cannot otherwise afford it.

In managing this website, Judicare Legal Aid collaborates widely, including with Legal Action of Wisconsin, LIFT Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin Law School, the Wisconsin State Law Library, WisTAF, the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund, the Wisconsin Access to Justice Commission, the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, and the Milwaukee Justice Center.

WisLawHelp was developed with funding from the Legal Services Corporation along with funding from the American Rescue Plan provided by the State of Wisconsin through the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation. Additional financial support was provided by the Wisconsin Access to Justice Commission.
