How to Get Service
Go to the website and answer a few questions to see if you qualify to use this service. Ask our volunteer attorneys a specific question about your civil legal issue. You must provide your name, county, and zip code in order to request advice. You'll receive an email telling you when your question receives a response. See the response to your question. You can follow-up with an attorney on each question as many times as the attorney and you choose to do so.
Other Eligibility
You can use this website IF all of these are true for you:
- Your income is low for a family the size of yours (less than 250% of the federal poverty level).
- The value of your checking account, savings account, stocks or bonds are low (less than $5,000 total liquid assets).
- You aren't in jail or prison.
- Your legal problem isn't related to a criminal charge.
- You don’t already have a lawyer to help you with your legal problem.
- You are an adult.
