Dane County Law Library
Learn more about a legal issue with help from a law librarian. They will listen to your questions and help you to identify information resources. They can help you in person, over the phone, or by email. Please be aware that librarians are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. Libraries provide access to legal self help books, a selection of forms for sale or printing, computers and copiers, legal materials like statutes and case law, and specialized law databases. Make copies while you're in the courthouse, or buy packets of forms to start or respond to a legal action. Some legal clinics are held in the library; the current schedule is on the Dane County court website.
