Clark County Veterans Service Office
The essential responsibilities of the Clark County Veterans Service Office (CVSO) include but are not limited to:
- Advise clients regarding state and federal benefits and claim decisions by appropriate boards, agencies, and courts
- Explain laws, regulations, and codes that affect veterans, explain veterans rights, responsibilities
- Claim documentation
- Researches applicable state and federal laws, regulations, codes, and court decisions to develop effective arguments for benefit claims
- Assists clients in completing forms, obtaining documentation, and performs analysis of claims and decisions by federal and state veteran administrations.
- Compile personal information and assesses merits of benefit claims and applicability of information to claims
- Counsels and advises clients regarding financial and educational assistance, medical services, emergency shelter, vocational adjustment, mental health service, and mortuary affairs
