Aging and Disability Resource Center of Trempealeau County
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Trempealeau County has Benefit Specialists who help people that are having difficulty with their private or government benefits. Benefit Specialists are experts at helping adults with disabilities and the aging population with the extensive and complicated paperwork that is often required in applying for and obtaining benefits.
An Elder Benefit Specialist assists anyone that is 60 or older with answering questions or helping with the complicated paperwork that comes along with: Medicare (Parts A through D along with Supplement Policies), Social Security, and other public and private benefit programs.
A Disability Benefit Specialist assists people ages 18-59 who have physical and/or developmental disabilities, mental illness, or substance use disorders. They provide information and assistance regarding public and private benefit programs and help individuals apply for and/or appeal the denial of benefits. Some areas and programs that they can assist with include: Medicaid, Medicare, prescription drugs, health insurance, employment, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability (SSDI), housing & utility issue, low-income tax credits, and FoodShare.
